| This outreach was in everyone's
opinion a good success. It was the first outreach we
made on our own. The venue was at the entrance of
our capital city of Valletta under a tent. The tent
belongs to an organization called "Malta Community
Chest fund. Its purpose is to collect funds for needy
people in Malta. The funds are raised through
programs organized for the occasion. The President
of the Republic has the patrimony of the
organization. of Malta. Our church applied to
participate in the activates and after the usual
problems, we were given the privilege to open the
program of the first day, which was December 15. The
programs will continue till the new year.
During the outreach we kept the same pattern of
singing Christian songs and carols for the occasion.
Between each song the pastor gave a message about
the hymn, emphasizing why Jesus only is to be
exalted.
During the program other church members were
outside the tent distributing gospel tracts, and
also sharing the gospel with people. The reports
said that they met with all kind of people, such
homosexuals, people suffering from depression, non
"religious" and very "religious people.
One of the many results of this outreach was the
creation of enthusiasm for the church members. Their
encounters with people has put in them the need to
share the gospel more than ever.
At the end of the outreach, a CD recorded at the
church with worship and Christmas songs was
distributed to those who were present. Recorded on
the CD was also a gospel message.
