Made with Xara
One of the most memorable travels I have ever made was in the summer of 2005
when I walked into the arrivals level of the International Airport on the main
island of Malta. Our Heavenly Father cares so much for the nearly half-million
souls who make their homes on the beautiful Maltese islands, He called a faithful
son of His to shepherd the sheep in a small upper floor building in the area of
Qormi. Pastor Joseph Aguis has dedicated his life to providing loving care for the
many young people who have walked through the doors of the small Assembly of
believers. From street ministry for children to various home meetings of small
groups to the corridors of the hospitals, his constant attention is to minister to the
spiritual needs of the lost and lonely, and bind up the wounds of the hurting.
Pastor Joe challenges the more mature Christian believers to look for those who
are struggling to find the light of the truth, and to provide sincere care and understanding
to them.
My life has been truly blessed with the friendship of such a wonderful family of born-again
Christian believers. My soul and spirit is often refreshed with the words of life in casual
conversation with Pastor Joe in chats on the internet, or brief calls between cell phones.
May the blessings of the Almighty be the constant beacon of hope shining brightly into the
darkest corners of the islands and into the hearts and lives of every man, woman, boy, or
girl who come in contact with the warm hearts of the Assembly of believers in Qormi.
