HEALING FROM ASTHMA by

When I was twelve yrs old, I was diagnosed as having
Asthma. And within two yrs I had to have
injections, as well as Inhalers to control my
breathing. When I was twenty / twenty-one, I was
rushed into hospital after collapsing from a severe
asthma attack. It was then that the hospital
recommended that I went for a course of breathing
exercises, which helped me when I had an attack.
When I wasn't having breathing problems, I was
smoking, but when I was having breathing problems I
would stop smoking. As I grew older, so my asthma
got worse, and to add to it I developed Bronchitis.
Eventually I was back to square one. Using
Inhalers, and being rushed into hospital after
having another bad asthma attack. I was in for
eight days, discharged, then back to the asthma
clinic for further monitoring. I am now a man of
sixty six, and with a history of Breathing Problems
like I had, also smoking twenty/ thirty cigarettes a
day until twelve yrs ago, then you stand a pretty
slim chance of recovery. Wrong!
When you are a Christian, and you love the Lord like
I do, then God can do anything. "Nothing is
impossible for the Lord". Two weeks ago I had to go
back to the asthma clinic for a check-up. And after
a brief examination, was told that they didn't want
to see me anymore. Yes that's right they gave me a
clean bill of health, saying that they had not seen
anyone as fit as me, especially with a history like
mine, also at my age as well. So I want to give God
all the Glory he deserves, and pray that he will
continue to keep me healthy. Amen.

BROKEN FINGERS HEALED by
Francis Agius
Mr. Francis Agius form Malta, a house builder
attending Word of Life PH Church, fell from a low
roof while working and a stone fell on his hand
breaking three of the fingers in his right hand. His
workmate urged him to go to hospital, but he refused
and continued working.
“When I returned home, my wife
looked at my fingers in shock, and I told her that I
thought I broke a finger. I told her I was going to
have a wash and then phone Pastor Joe to take me to
the hospital”.
At the Hospital X-rays where
taken and it was very clear that three of his
fingers where broken. (Pastor Joe was with him and
saw the X-Rays). After treatment Mr. Francis Agius
was given an appointment three days later for follow
up.
“Finally Thursday came, 10th
June, 8am I was in hospital to see Professor
Scibberras. I waited and finally they called me in
at 11.30am. Before I went in, I started to pray to
my Lord, I felt the Holy Spirit upon me. Before I
went in I already started to feel my fingers moving,
but I was nervous, so I didn’t take much notice.”
After examination the Professor
asked Mr. Francis Agius if he is feeling any pain.
His reply was: “No!”
“Suddenly I realized that the
pain and discomfort where gone”.
Mr. Francis Agius testified
later in church saying: “Professor Scibberras told
me that my fingers weren’t broken; all he kept
saying was that there must be some kind of mistake.”
“Praise the Lord my God
my fingers were healed!” he exclaimed.

STANDING FIRM UNDER PERSECUTION AT
WORK by Sue Boggis
I work for the Eden
Project in Cornwall, as a Senior Chef, I am now in
my forth year from when it opened. I have
encountered many difficulties with the people I work
with whilst working there for e.g. gossip, swearing,
alcoholism, mental abuse, hate, pride, no hope etc..
I could go on. There has been many times that I
have wanted to leave, but every time God steps in
(Praise his Name). For about three years I have
witnessed in the kitchens, but it has been very
difficult due to my bosses being so against God.
Since May this year (2004) I was promoted, this
means I am now the boss of the Gallery kitchen -
there are three main kitchens at
Eden. Not always knowing what
God has in mind for me I have continued to witness
and have noticed a freedom in the kitchen like never
before. Jesus Christ is now head of the kitchen and
my staff are hearing the Gospel on a daily basis.
More and more I sense his presence with me, and my
staff are not only learning to chef but also how to
serve others, about the God of Love and his word.
Please keep praying for souls to be saved!!
About a week ago
(middle of July 2004) a situation arose. I was
checking off my daily delivery when I noticed the
egg and bacon pie (which is usually made at Eden in
our central production kitchen) was a bought in
one. So i queried this and phoned the kitchen. One
of the senior chefs (who is above me) explained that
we were having them from now on, whilst it is so
busy, so I thought ok, ' that’s fine ', I’ll just
let the restaurant manager know so we can tell the
customers (on the menu it states the egg and bacon
pie is made at Eden). I told the senior chef what I
was going to do and he said, oh no you can’t do
that’, so I said, well what you want me to do then’,
and he said, ' just lie, nobody will know '. Well
straight away I said, ' I’m sorry I can’t do that
and I won't, I will either tell the customers or
take it off the menu. Well at this he got very
angry and said many things and then put the phone
down. I waited for a reply and carried on putting
the delivery away, then I noticed a bought in apple
pie (also meant to be Eden made). This time I
thought I would phone the Executive Chef, so I did
and explained the situation, which he already knew
and he said in a rather cross voice, ' I’ll come and
talk with you tomorrow'.
Well I knew I had
done the right thing by standing up for what is
right!! So that evening I asked many people to pray
for me knowing that my job could really be on the
line, as I wasn't obeying direct orders. God is so
great; he is always there when we need him and never
lets us down.
The next day I went in and God
helped me to have peace about the situation. I had
briefed a couple of my senior staff about
the problem so they were aware that
I was trusting God. Well I do believe the executive
chef was there to put me in my place, but in actual
fact, once again God was in the room. I was able to
explain to him that if we do what is right God will
bless us and about how God hates lying and that its
not right to cause your staff to be dishonest, I
spoke about the corruption in the management and how
they should lead by example. Well when I had
finished speaking he asked me what he should do so I
suggested about placing small signs by the tills
when customers pay so they are informed about the
change. He okayed this and we went together to see
the restaurant manager. The executive chef explained
the situation to her and then to my surprise went on
to say about how we can't be dishonest and lie, and
that we should do what is right, I Praise God for
this!!! We went ahead and did the signs that day. I
thanked my boss and told him he had done the right
thing. To my surprise the next day the senior chef
who had told me to lie, phoned up and apologized to
me and said how sorry he was, I told him don't
worry I still love you!!! ( I do believe the
executive chef may have spoken to him).
If we put our trust
in the Lord he will always turn things around to
good, for his glory. I held a staff meeting that
day explaining how important it is to always stand
up for what is right, whoever is against you. Amen.

CONVERSION OF A DRUG DEALER IN PRISON By Joseph

The International Pentecostal
Holiness Church, with its roots in Wesleyan theology
emphasizing a life style of holiness. Holiness is a
major doctrine in all Christian Churches, therefore
preachers and teachers should emphasize this topic
in their ministry. In Malta the IPHC is represented
by a pastor who was saved from a sinful debased life
style and dedicated himself to help persons that are
like he was … and even worse. He did this through
the Lord who supernaturally
gave him a prison ministry.
Through this ministry, one
person who experienced the supernatural power of God
in his life is Mr. John Attard. John, nicknamed ‘Fanal’.
‘Fanal’ means light house. I believe he was given
this nickname because of his size. He actually
terrorized every where he went and even the police
were afraid of him. He was arrested a number of
times but at one point his ‘luck’ ran out. He was
arrested twice for drug pushing and received a
fourteen year sentence. A few days after he began
his prison sentence, John attended on of the
evangelical meetings led by the IPHC pastor. John
attended the meeting not because he was repentant of
his crimes committed against God or man, but to pass
the time and have a laugh.
But during the sermon, he felt
his inner parts stir and became convicted of his
sin. He felt naked and unclean and his macho
character not protecting him any more.
The Holy Spirit led the pastor to lay hands on John.
He felt something flowing to him and right there, he
surrendered his life to Jesus. He became so quiet
that the inmates became concerned and told the
prison official that something was wrong with John.
They in turn asked a psychiatrist to examine him.
His response to the psychiatrist was: “The Word of
God has given me a new life!”
From that day onwards, he never
looked back. In the power of God Almighty, John
preaches the gospel to inmates, officers, and the
prison officials without fear. He was enticed and
provoked with every kind of enticement by inmates
and officers, but he stood his ground. He is in
charge of the ‘prayer room’ and now some inmates and
officers call him ‘Pastor John’ The Supernatural
power of God still changes people.
