Made with Xara HEALING FROM CANCER By Arthur MorrisClick here for medical reportsIt was January 2009, I had started a bit of a cold, that night it was cough, cough, cough, here we go again I thought another spell of bronchitis, my wife's mind was made up, "I'm ringing the emergency medical number" declared Annie my wife. Annie didn't have to say much they could hear the cough. Next thing the ambulance men were on the doorstep, and I was on my way to the local hospital. They pumped me with antibiotics and the bronchitis was soon under control. A doctor came to see me looking rather concerned, she said "Arthur we have seen a shadow on your right lung, and your records show that in 2007 an x-ray was taken, and showed a shadow in the same position, only now it is a little larger" I managed to get the words out. "Is it cancer?" "At this stage we don't know," she replied. (I would not have been surprised if it was because for much of my life; I had been a heavy smoker and analcoholic.)At that moment an overwhelming peace came over me. "Oh well, I thought, I've had a good life, I know exactly where I am going when I die, and Annie will be just fine!" Dying was no problem, I knew for sure that was going to go to be with my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, but I also knew that "my God" was well capable of performing a miracle of healing! We told our church, and our Christian friends world wide (including you guys in Malta,) and they prayed! It was all scans, x-rays, biopsies and seeing various specialists, until about the middle of June. The truth was laid out to me, by a specialist, "I am very sorry Arthur it is lung cancer and we cannot operate, I'm afraid it is too near a blood vessel, and has spread to the lymph glands, we will do our best for you with chemo, and radio therapy, I am very sorry."Deep down, when I was first told about the shadow I was fairly sure that it was cancer and as that moment of reality came, I was again flooded with incredible peace.I went through about 4-5 months of chemotherapy, relatively trouble free, and then was scheduled to receive 33 days of radiotherapy. Day 20 came and I asked about my next week's radiotherapy schedule. "Oh no Arthur", they said, "that's it, you have finished your treatment, the doctor will explain!" .The doctor explained, all right! " we can't give you anymore treatment because there is no cancer left for us to treat." A further 2 x-rays and one scan; continue to confirm that there is no cancer there! I am very grateful for all the hospital has done, and the regular checks that they are giving me. But most of all I want to give glory and thanks to my own special doctor, the Lords Jesus Christ. I am very grateful for His healing, but even more so for that incredible peace that passes all understanding, that He gave to me through those days of uncertainty, because I knew that what ever happened, I was in His loving hands!Arthur Morris (Aged 72) Word of Life Pentecostal Holiness Church-Malta. 2010
