PRAYING FOR OUR YOUNG GENERATION In Luke 11:13, we read that even though we are evil we know how to give the best gifts to our children. In the old days, most people were not schooled. Families were numerous; some even had a dozen children. We often hear that large families used to find it hard to live and to eat until satisfied. This was the majority of our ancestors. These are facts. But it is also a fact that they were happier than today. We are more educated, we are the so-called modern, and we give good gifts to our children. We school them the best possible. Isn't it strange or sad that our children can't taste what kind of love our ancestors had to offer? What values of the past made them happy? Shall we pray so with God's guidance, we keep Christian homes healthy and full and overflowing with the spirit. Can we give this precious gift to our children?

Lord, you filled Bezalel and countless of chosen others with your Spirit to be responsible of building your earthly temple under the leadership of Moses. Today, you have given to each member of your body the church, the Holy Spirit to build your church and the leadership of Christ. She is much greater than the earthly temple. Your church is a sacred body, already seated in the heavenly places. It is much more honorable. As you gifted Bezalel to build the earthly temple, you gave us the church the same Spirit with His spiritual gifts to build your temple, the temple of God, where the Spirit of Jesus dwells.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “See, I have chosen Bezalel … and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, … with all kinds of skills— to make artistic designs “ For the building of the temple Exodus 31:1-11

Many modern love stories we watch in movies and read in secular books want us to believe that love is a euphoric / erotic feeling that many times is unstable. The truth is that love isn’t a feeling or just sexuality; it’s an action- oriented commitment as described in 1 Cor. 13. It’s a choice to give your best to someone even when they are at their worst (Dr. Chapman). The Bible is clear, that love is what you volitionally do or do not do.
Reflection: Am I showing my spouse “agape” by God’s definition of love or by the world’s definition?
This includes forgiveness, compassion, mercy and grace. Love covers all sin the ancient sage stated. In practice, this means to serve a spouse even when he or she are in no position to repay. It means giving more grace that we feel like giving. That’s what Christ did for us and what He calls us to do for each other.
A strong marriage requires two people who choose to love each other even on days when they struggle to like each other!
