From a very young age, we were all thought that we are made of the spirit, soul, and body. Fire also needs three essential components. A flammable, for example, wood, oxygen, which is found in the air, and heat. The fire can never start if any of these components is missing, the fire will be extinguished. On the other hand, the abundance of any of the components, the stronger will be the fire! For us to glorify God, we need to make sure that the three components that make us, are present and in good shape. As for the spirit, the Bible clearly states that when we were like sheep going astray, our spirit was dead. After we accept Jesus as our Lord and Saviour, God The Father gives us His Spirit, The Holy Spirit. According to 1 Corinthians, we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. What about the remaining two components, our soul and body? How can the fire burn actively for the Lord? In order for us to be a pleasing love offering to God, our body and mind must be healthy! We are living in a world system that has been designed by our common adversary. From the beginning of time, he is continually filling our body with harmful substances to make our bodies weak and sick and to distract our minds by all sorts of things. The purpose for this is to keep us as far away as possible from the Most High God, our f Father. Our adversary is well aware that the moment that any child of God gets close enough to his Father, that child will be transformed in a mighty tool in the Hands of God. Moreover, he is also aware that as long as we keep close to God, he would be just like a toothless roaring lion. During our discussion meetings, we deemed it is profitable to the kingdom of God to address subjects of good stewardship concerning our health, both of mind and body. We are to be good stewards of our life in general. We will be introducing short, interesting articles in the weekly bulletin. Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

mind don’t align with the truth of God’s Word for our marriage. Many times we simply do not control our thoughts, leading to let our mouths out of control. It is important to understand that even in the most irritable times, the Holy Spirit is still in control. He will give us the strength to speak out in love rather than unthoughtful words… bringing hurt and disappointed to our spouse. The Holy Spirit gives every believer “self-control.” It is part of the “package” we call “fruit of the Spirit. Let us then take control of our thoughts, and our mouth.

WOL Marriage Devotion
The battle for a joy-filled marriage starts in the mind. The state of our marriage frequently reflects how well we know our God. When we are living a Holy Spirit-filled life, it is then we can more easily see when our attitudes or thoughts don’t align with the instructions of Christ. In order to find joy in our relationship we have to be “logged on to the Holy Spirit. We must allow the Spirit to convict us when our
