Gems in the book of Romans
One of the powerful statements in the Book of Romans is that Rom 5:6. It describes us several theological truths. It says that: we are sinners, that Jesus died for us, and that we are no longer sinners because of Christ’s death. Today, we face a contra-cultural- force telling us sin does not exist, and it is controlling. The matter of fact is that if people believe in sin, then they cannot appease themselves. If they believe that Jesus saved us from our sin, then people must revere Him. If they believe that Jesus deserves reverence, then they cannot live as they please. This means they will have to obey God and do His will. However, the spirit of independence has been craftily introduced to us from school and the media. They disrupted the order of life as God designed it to be. We know that this is the spirit of the antichrist at work. However, at least, those who confess that Jesus Christ is Lord; they need to show back love by revering Him. Those who claim are abiding in Christ “must live as Jesus did” (1 John 2:6)
Romans 5:6
Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways! Romans 11:33
A short message to ponder on… The topic of abortion seems to be on the TO DO LIST of our governments. As all of us know, we pray weekly for our children and the future of our church.. but what about a lot of God intended children that never made it to this earth? Have we ever prayed for those hands driven by evil forces that carry out this act of barbarism? How grateful towards God we should be, that we look at our children through His eyes as gifts and not as burdens... By His grace He gave us a spirit of understanding, to look at the whole picture and not to the part where it says "human right".
KNOWING THE BIBLE
Take counsel with a man who is wise and of a good conscience, and seek to be instructed by one better than yourself, rather than to follow your own inventions. A good life makes a man wise towards God, and gives him experience in many things. The more humble a man is in himself, and the more obedient towards God, the wiser will he be in all things, and the more shall his soul be at peace.
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up. James 4:10

WOL Marriage Devotion
THE HARMONIOUS MARRIAGE
A perfect marriage is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on each other. We have been hearing about the human’s sinful nature. It is impossible that any spouse can be perfect for the other. We approach life with our own outlook and personal expectations, which most of the time differ from those of our spouse. Yet, this is how God designed marital love. God’s design for love is not a feeling but a commitment. The modern culture gave us a different outlook of marriage and love, and redefined to be nothing more than an inconsistent feeling that comes and goes. This is a fragile kind of love; it has no
substance and is spineless for a marriage. So many give up on marriage and claim they do not love each other anymore. Some claim that they do not feel anything for their spouse anymore. Although this may have a legitimate reason, couples need to work very hard to keep the flame of love burning. Couples need to resist the temptation to base their marriage on their current feelings. They can change at any second. However, if they build their marriage on Jesus and learn to be a commitment as He was committed to forgiving them, then they will learn to commit themselves to each other. Of course, this is a life-long learning process. Question for Reflection: How am I communicating my love and commitment to my spouse everyday?
“Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 COR. 13:7 (NLT)
