WOL DEVOTIONAL POEM
People tend to feel alone Somehow lost away from home This is not the plan of God It’s the world that makes things odd By His friends He was denied Seeking Him we’re fortified In His strength we must then trust So our troubles will not last As with us He can relate Do it quickly don’t be late His last moments He did share With His Father well aware Through His Son He loved the world Persevere and you’ll be heard Our friendship got more close His love the correct dose
If we seek to help others You will gain friends as brothers His body build as a team Improvement of self esteem By Him never forsaken Our care by Him well taken He sees the way we suffer For Him we really matter As He heals our broken heart From Him we will not depart As our bond will overflow Towards him we tend to go It’s enough to see the Lord With Them close and now onboard Father, Son, Holy Spirit Family without limit

praying for the next generation
Do we recall a time when our children came to us excited and told us about something they did, which was totally new to them? We patiently listen to them as they start going into details, explaining how and why and so on... Listening to them and answering them, while praising their innocent accomplishments, take us back to similar memories we experienced with our parents long ago... The energy and enthusiasm they put in explaining their point is something that we should learn from. That same curiosity and enthusiasm in life has taught us through each stage in life and made us stronger. We should help our children have the same enthusiasm for Christianity today. We should not miss passing to them, God’s holy teaching that will save them and fortify them with wisdom through life ahead. Us parents shall pray for a way to do this and hand in hand…together with the church, will build our young ones. The world offers 1000 to 1 ratio, where values are concerned….let us make a difference because love always overcomes. Children are tomorrow’s church
The Thessalonians were worried if the Day of the Lord had come. The intensity of the persecution, false teachers, and a pseudonym letter led them to believe they were passing through the tribulation. Yet Paul, in 1 Thess 5 and elsewhere, reminded them what he had already taught them. The modern church may also be worrying about when the Lord’s return is taking place or if He is ever returning. However, although what was written has not yet come to pass, we can indeed see an acceleration of events that seem to be leading to the end-time events. Therefore we need to wait prayerfully and remain strong. The Psalmist did not have the revelations that we have. However, in his time of distress, his faith remained in the Lord’s goodness, believing in the land of the living, which we call eternal life. Like him, we must remain strong (in our faith), courageous (by not giving in to sin and political pressure) while we wait for the glorious appearance of our Great God and Saviour, Jesus Christ
I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living! Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD! Ps 27:13-14

WOL Marriage Devotion
THE HARMONIOUS MARRIAGE
Christian marriages are known to be based on biblical principles. In days where marriage has several forms, we hold to the biblical view because we believe it is how God planned and designed marriage to be. In fact God uses marriage as an example of how intimate He expects our relation with him must be. Therefore, the concept of devotion comes in place. God wants every person to be devoted to him. Then, every couple must be devoted to God together, with one mind and accord. The goal is to have an “undivided devotion to the Lord.” We need to remember that although we look at the Bible to solve marriage problems, the Bible is not a book about marriage; it is a book about God. The best thing we can do with our brief lives is to devote ourselves to him and his
mission. The mission is witness about God’s love to the world to save us from the judgment that will come on the living and death. This is the goal. And marriage can actually help us achieve this goal. That’s why in the context of 1 Cor 7:35, Paul encourages marriage for those who are tempted sexually. A healthy marriage helps to prevent temptations that would destroy our effectiveness. But remember that whether married or single, the goal is to be completely devoted to God. Marriage can be used as a means of improving our devotion to Jesus. Let’s not get it backwards and think of Him as the means of improving our marriages. We don’t have time to fight, nor to settle down. We wolare in pursuit of a prize (1 Cor. 9:24–27). We are trying to make as many disciples as possible (Matt. 28:18–20), at as much depth as possible. There will be plenty of time to celebrate after we cross the finish line. For now, we just keep running. Meditate on those words. “promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord.” 1 Cor 7:35
