Fund Raising Meal
Every Last Friday of the Month
People to People Ministries is
a distinct and separate ministry within the
International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC), with
the aim to reach a variety of humanitarian needs in
different countries in the world.
The purpose is to show the love of Jesus Christ by
meeting the vital needs of deprived an neglected people,
and to provide the Bread of Life while giving
life-saving help. By meeting the physical needs of
people, the organization helps the IPHC missionaries
establish churches.
At Word of Life PH Church we
contribute in this ministry by supporting six Children
in India. We do this by raising funds by organizing a
three course meal every last Friday of the month.
The meal is prepared and cooked by a
committee we have to ensure that the price of the meal
is kept to a minimum (Lm2.50) and to reach as many
people as possible while we make some profit to send to
our Headquarters. An average attendance to these meals
is about 70 people.
All the food is prepared and cooked
at the church with an amazing commitment and hard work.
The cook spends a whole day cooking. After the meal some
dedicated members stay as late as 11:00pm to clean the
church and prepare it for the next worship service.
We also take the opportunity to have
fellowship with other Christians from different
evangelical churches. Without their participation we
would not be able to reach our goals. But by the grace
of God, year after year people attended faithfully month
after month and supported this humanitarian work.
God is clearly and visibly blessing
this ministry. |
